Help Shape the Future of Healthcare in Western Queensland
Western Queensland Primary Health Network (WQPHN) is seeking experienced clinical professionals and service managers to join our Care Governance Committee (CGC)—a dedicated group of healthcare experts providing strategic clinical oversight to ensure safe, effective, and person-centred care across our region.
What is the CGC and Why is it Important?
The Care Governance Committee plays a critical advisory role, offering expert recommendations to the WQPHN Board and Executive Management Team. It ensures that healthcare services in Western Queensland are high-quality, integrated, and responsive to the needs of local communities. The committee works in partnership with Primary Health key stakeholders to address regional challenges and enhance health outcomes.
As a CGC Member, You Will:
✔ Advise on care governance strategies to improve healthcare services in the region
✔ Identify service risks and propose solutions to enhance patient safety and quality of care
✔ Support the development of clinical health pathways based on data-driven needs and community insights
✔ Provide leadership in healthcare innovation, digital health, and service frameworks
✔ Advise on research opportunities and primary care engagement strategies
Commitment & Who Should Apply?
The CGC meets four times per year (virtual attendance) with the possibility of out-of-session meetings when required. We are looking for a diverse group of clinicians from various healthcare backgrounds (including service management), locations, and lived experiences to contribute their expertise. If you are a passionate and engaged healthcare professional, we encourage you to apply.
